United Business Media acquires Vintage Filings, LLC

Business information provider United Business Media announced yesterday (18 April) that it acquired Vintage Filings, LLC (www.vfilings.com) for an initial cash consideration of $38m. A further deferred consideration of up to $15m will be payable over the next four years, subject to certain conditions.
Editorial champions discuss future direction

Several business and professional editors attended a PPA working group yesterday (18 April) to discuss the possibility of holding an event in the autumn. Following the success of the Sales Rally in 2006, the B+P committee has decided to extend this event across other functional areas, beginning with editorial staff.
B2B Marketing Awards relaunched for 2007

The B2B Marketing Awards have been re-launched for 2007 and will incorporate the PPA Business and Professional Advertising Excellence Awards. This year’s awards will include new categories, a new identity and a new venue for the gala dinner on 1 November at the Brewery in the City of London.
Dow Jones expected to acquire Financial News

Business information provider Dow Jones is expected to announce soon that it has acquired weekly publication Financial News for approximately £27m, in a deal which will see shareholders retain £3m cash from the company accounts.
Wilmington latest B&P company to post strong results

Wilmington Group plc, is the latest business and professional company to post positive results for six months to 31 December 2006. Revenue from continuing operations is up 14.2 per cent to £45.7m (2005: £40m).
