Publishers of business and professional magazines are invited to take part in online global research which is being carried out by the International Federation of the Periodical Press (FIPP). It will study good practice online among successful publishers and update the well-received survey conducted by FIPP in 2003.

PPA Professional’s new ad campaign is designed to highlight how professional media is an effective, creative and influential way to communicate with customers. The new executions have been created in bold colours to appear more striking off the page. PPA members are encouraged to use the campaign in as many magazines as possible, to reach decision-makers in both vertical and horizontal markets. The campaign by McCann-Erickson is the largest-ever to promote the professional media sector.

CNBC Europe, the pan-European business and financial TV network, is to appear in print by joining forces with European Business magazine. CNBC Europe has linked up with London-based Ink Publishing to relaunch European Business magazine as a co-branded, monthly publication renamed CNBC European Business.

US report shows B2B ad revenues on the up

A report published by American Business Media (ABM) shows substantial growth in revenues for business-to-business publications. The Business Information Network (BIN) report for September 2005 shows combined revenues of the year-to-date up 4.6 per cent compared to the previous year.
