B2B publishers to learn from FMCG advertising30 Sep 2004
PPA’s Pharmaceutical Advertising Forum (PAF) is presenting to some 60 people at an event tonight (30 September) entitled FMCG thinking in pharmaceutical advertising. PAF is a new coalition of publishers and media buyers which aims to promote the virtues of advertising and highlight the return on investment and overall value that advertising represents for the pharmaceutical industry.
B2B ad spending continues to rise

New forecasts of advertising spend signal the continued recovery of B2B magazines. Figures from the World Advertising Research Centre (WARC) predict that spending on B2B magazines will rise by 6.4 per cent in the Q4 2004 against an all media average of 5.6 per cent.

PPA is taking a step forward in driving awareness of business media with the appointment of Propeller Communications to its B2B communications brief. The strategy in the coming year combines research, media relations, advertising and events and conferences. Propeller will begin working on the PPA B2B brief immediately following a competitive three-way pitch.
