Magazine ad expenditure rises 3.1 per cent

Total advertising expenditure on magazines reached £494m in the third quarter of 2004. This represents a year-on-year increase of 3.1 per cent on the same period in 2003. The figures appeared in the Quarterly Survey of Advertising Expenditure published by The Advertising Association and were researched by the World Advertising Research Centre (WARC).

PPA Marketing has published an online guide aimed at helping magazine publishers conduct research into their titles and readers. The guide explains the various types of research undertaken by publishers such as editorial surveys, pre and post campaign surveys and readership surveys.
