Advertisers demand more effectiveness

The advertising created by UK advertising agencies is amongst the best in the world. In 2003, the UK scooped 18 of the 38 Gold Lion awards for film at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival. The US came second, with 8 awards, with the remaining 12 shared between different countries including Argentina, Canada, France and the Netherlands.

Veronis Suhler predicts positive 'immediate future' for B2B

Veronis Suhler Stevenson (VSS) has predicted a positive ‘immediate future‘ for the B2B sector, with a global return to growth in spending. According to VSS' annual Communications Industry Forecast, annual media spending will grow by 4.8 per cent between 2002 and 2007.

PPA submits response on e-government services

PPA has today (Thursday 21 August) submitted a response to a consultation document calling for a 'mixed economy' in the supply of e-Government services. PPA’s response focuses mainly on the use of private sector websites for posting public service jobs, and the re-use of Government information.

Magazines extend their reach

According to new research, more than 96 per cent of adults in the UK read a magazine. The figure comes from Target Group Index (TGI), which measures the habits of people aged 15 or above.
